In this engaging STEM activity, teens will dive into the science of phase changes by observing how ice melts and transforms. Participants will melt vibrant, colorful ice spheres using water and food coloring, then explore how different factors affect melting rates.
After participating in this session, teens will develop:
- scientific inquiry skills by observation and experimentation, as participants track the melting process and record their findings.
- gain a deeper understanding of solids, liquids, and the transition between states of matter.
