Join us at The Coal County Library as we kick off our summer reading program. Enjoy popcorn, pizza, and a movie. Don't forget to grab a swag bag!

Join us at the library for a morning of coffee and conversation. We will discuss current topics, recipes or who knows.  You will be welcomed with a smile, friendly faces and usually a lot of laughter. 

A crochet program is a hands-on, creative workshop where participants can learn the art of crochet or improve their skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Join us for our first Summer Reading Program with this hands-on, nature-inspired building activity where we’ll create stick tents using just sticks and yarn!

Icing and sprinkles and cupcakes, oh my! Make your very own unique cupcake at our cupcake factory. Come in to beat the heat and enjoy a tasty treat!

Learn about currents and how they move by making a bottle of sparkly, shimmery, swirly rheoscopic fluid! 

Let's get this party started!! Join us for pizza, games, and more as we kick off our Summer Reading Program. Then check back in everyday for a new and exciting activity to do.

Get ready to put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test! In this fun and interactive activity, participants will use marshmallows and straws to build amazing structures.

STEM Join us for a fun, hands-on program where kids will create secret code bracelets using beads and a special coding system!

We will shape tin foil into a bowl shape and use sugar, sand, and rock salt mixed with glue and food coloring to achieve a sparkly geode looking craft.

SEOLS Bookmobile will be making a stop in Broken Bow to help us kick off Summer Reading!! Make plans to attend, tour the bookmobile and meet our Bookmobile Librarian, Kaylee Stanfield and driver Stan Younts.

Please bring a shirt, preferably, white and a partner. We will then paint each others arms with a color of their choosing and HUG each other leaving a lasting print for years to come.

Make your own playdough, and then turn it into a volcano to learn about chemical reactions.

Get ready to soar high with Soaring Science—a fun and exciting STEM project where you'll design, build, and fly your very own kite!

STEMS Put your problem-solving skills to the test in our STEM Challenge for teens!

 A large canvas will be set up outside with painters tarp laid down.

Come get (temporarily) tatted up with henna! Nerd Herd is a teen program designed to be attended independently by teens. Accommodations can be made by request.

We will break/shave old crayons into molds of various shapes. Library staff will melt crayons in molds and place in freezer until solid. Kiddos will then pop out their crayons and use/take them home.

Paint string art is a fun and messy way to create beautiful designs using paint and string. But did you know that this activity also teaches us about physics and motion? Ms.
